Merry Christmas everybody! I love this time of the year!
Let's face it - it's one time when the whole world acknowledges that our Lord Jesus Christ existed. He was born a baby and the world is almost forced to recognize the truth.
We as Christians don't need a holiday to confirm that Jesus came to the earth in human form, but isn't it nice that the rest of the world agrees with us for just a short period of time?
The Christmas season is an exciting time for me; I love being at home and I'm looking forward to my family coming together and celebrating my favorite day of the year. It's wonderful to be able to just celebrate the fact that Jesus was born as a baby, yet He still was truly God. As my grandson would say, "He's a man and God at the same time." It's neat to hear a 4-year-old say that; he's saying the truth!
I want to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and may God bless you not only for the rest of this year, but for next year as well. I'm looking forward to 2010; I hope that you are too.
God bless you, and thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for myself and my family; selfishly I ask this because I know your petitions are certainly working. I thank you so much for the fact that you are concerned for my welfare.
We reverse that back to you and pray for you all too, saying "Lord, please bless all these folks that care about someone else besides themselves."
Until next year!
...John
