Hello everybody,

This is John - I haven’t had a chance to talk to you for a while
 
Thanksgiving came and went so fast! We’ve been so busy that it was hard 
for us to really realize how quickly time was going by.

But now it’s Christmas -  my favorite time of year, every time! I’m 
looking forward to having family come, getting together around the 
Christmas tree, and thinking about our Savior who died for us, who was 
born - not necessarily on Dec. 25 - but we honor His birth on this date.

It’s so exciting for me to actually see the whole country remember 
someone who’s so important to all of us. It’s a shame that this time of 
remembrance comes only one time out of the year, but at least it’s one 
time. I just ask everyone to enjoy Christmas – enjoy it so much, 
because it’s about a Savior who was born and chose to die for us – and 
then rose again!

We in Petra are looking forward to the end of the year, and the end of 
an unbelievable, fantastic tour with all the people that had a chance 
to come and talk with us. So many have told us how much Petra’s 
ministry has meant to them, and gave us personal examples that were so 
gratifying to hear. Once again it reminds you of how big God is and how 
small we are.

Petra has been a very important part of my life for 20 years, and I’ll 
miss it. But I know for a fact that God has big plans for all of us in 
the future, so I’m looking forward to that. I’ll do my best to keep you 
all posted on all the changes that will happen – and they happen so 
quickly!

My family thanks you so much for all your prayers and the fact that you 
care so much for all of us and for the rest of the band members and 
their families. 

We ask that you continue to pray, and let’s see what God has in store 
for all of us for 2006.
